Help with CDJ Traktor Pitch

How can i change the mapping (Advanced HID) of my CDJs Tempo slider to Relative mode from Absolute.

In other words i'm trying to get the Tempo slider to work in relative mode on my cdj900.

When i use the sync and try to adjust the tempo it jumps to the absolute position.

Traktor pro to scratch upgrade, software only

Hi I have recently purchased traktor pro 2, latest version 2.6.1

Just got a gig playing weekly and they have DJM 900 nexus as the house mixer.

So rather than buy a sound card I want to use the DJM connected to traktor via USB with timecode vinyl.

Since I recently paid the $90+ for traktor pro 2 is there a way to pay for a small update of the software to unlock the scratch function to use with the DJM ?

VCI-100 Platter is Lower Than the Other

i have a gently used VCI-100 that now has a platter lower than the other. this one platter will get stuck and require me to lift it up. obviously this is driving me nuts and i'd like to fix this without having to buy a whole new VCI.

Opinion S4 vs Z2 vs T1

Hey guys

Before I hit the buy it now button and spend more money I would like your opinion. When I bought my S4 that was the cheapest way to rin dvs with the scratch upgrade.
Now the T1 and Z2 is out I would really like to switch but I was wondering if it's a waste of money or I would really be a upgrade

Sup fellow music producers!

I'm creating a tech house track, and I have a decent crash set up but it just ends too early. I want the pumping effect to last longer (you guys know what I'm talking about, the extended crash to set the mood for the "drop" in tech house genres), any ideas?

I don't want to pick another crash sample, I like the sound of the one I have but it just ends a tad bit early. Any help is much appreciated!

Traktor Kontrol F1 Mapping Switching Filter Knobs for Effects Knobs

Hello Ladies and Gents out there, I am interested in mapping my filter knobs on my Kontrol F1 to be the Dry/Wet Knob and the Three Parameter Knobs. Would anyone like to suggest how I would do that? It would also be nice if when I switched remix decks the corresponding effects deck would switch as well. Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.

Is an internet connection needed to switch firmware on a spectra?

Hello all! Just got a midi fighter specta a few days ago and I am pleased with my purchase. I went to my girlfriend's place last night, download the utility, updated the firmware and switched to the remix deck firmware. All is good and dandy controlling the remix decks, but since I got home (no internet) it won't let me switch the firmware back. Do I need an internet connection tio switch between firmware?

Hi,

I've been a musician for 8 years. I have taught myself how to play the drums, guitar, bass and even have my own professionally recorded rock song on the go. In doing everything myself I have realized the massive undertaking I have engaged with. To be honest its very discouraging; paying 3 grand for a song and dealing sound engineers and writing and hiring people and doing all the marketing myself (not to mention, how would I ever play a gig?).

I have always been a fan of electronic music but had not considered the project until recently discovering all the trials involved with rock music coming solely from myself. I bought a Traktor S4 and FL Studio and a bunch of plug ins such as massive and decided to give it a try. I have managed to put out music but Im just not happy with it. I cant get a reaction out of most people and I feel like Im falling flat on my face. I feel like my music isn't as inspired as it could be and that I should just give up everything. Im incredibly discouraged at the moment. I feel like the Ill never be able to catch up to the industry heavy weights such as Dillon Francis, Skrillex, Deadmau5 etc.

Though I know its a high goal for someone that has only been at it for 3 months;I excel in one area of my life and that is music. I am a very talented rock artist strictly from being self taught and I feel like i could contribute good music if i was just not so bent out of shape.

Do you think its too far and i should quit while im ahead or do you think i should keep going?

IS 100 Watts For A PA SYSTEM Sufficiant

I'm currently looking becoming a Mobile/Pub/Wedding DJ and over the last year have been putting together some gear consisting of Pioneer CDJ 200's, DJM 400 Mixer, Moonflower lights, lasers, smoke machine, and portable deck stand with T bar for the lights. On one of the online store had the Peavey Audio Performer pack PA System which is rated at 100 watts RMS and I'm wondering if it will be loud enough for Pub Dj'ing, and Wedding, according to my father who used to play in a band, think it's sufficient, but I'd like to find out some more info as I'm a newbie when it comes to PA Systems...

Time to show you my setup.

For me Digital DJ'ing is taking it to the next level and I think the selection and transitions is everything. For me it doe's not matter if you use vinyl, CDJ�s or computer. It's all about the music and using the equipment and tools YOU like!

Currently I run Traktor Scratch Pro with this:

I have the CDJ�s in HID, mapped to take care of transport on DECK A and B (Play/pause/pitch/hotcues/loops/flux mode)
The X1 is for DECK C and D (1210 timecode on D). The X1 also controls FX bank 1 (with delay, reverb and gater) and filters and key for all 4 decks.

The MF3D used a modified InstantGratification. Added new Traktor 2.6.1 fx tilting left/right and some other features.

Before I used a pair of EKS-XP5 but the resolution on the pitch was not ok for real beatmatching and no visual feedback. And a dual Denon 2000mk2 from 1991, still working, but I'm not using it anymore.
