Wrote this one yestarday, then it froze up when spelchecking - dont you hate that!
So, since I last posted here I have aquired 2 cdj900's and a djm800. Got to say I love them and have been getting better at beatmatching. Altough I first started on my VCI my aim was always to learn how to use CDJ's and beatmatch..... I recognise the way forward is controllers and digital, but i wanted to start playing out and learning to use CDJ's and beatmatch is the logical path for my situation.
I havnt yet had the chance to run TP with my 900's as yet, so I can testify to the quality of the built in soundcards against my audio4. Has anyone here yet had a good run with TP directly linked to 900's, that is with having to use timecode?
Anyway, At this moment I am back at sea, and this means im back on my VCI, which is good, because im splitting my time between controllers and cdj's.
I am hoping to have my rig set up as such:
TP running via 900's and externally mixing into my djm800. I then want two X1'S for controll of other decks and effects within TP. Added to this I want to incorperate a Midfighter. Is this possible, with my limited understanding of TP and Midi, i believe it is???
I think it will be a great setup, my two X1's outside of my mixer, then come the cdj's. My laptop mounted beside my midifighter, if you imagine them being as like to rack toms on a drom kit?
My goal is to be able to rock up to a gig and still rock it mixing with CD/usb using cdj's and also when the opportunity arises be able to rock it hard using above mentioned rig, or VCI...
BTW - Jerome isma -ae palyed 400 meters from my house the other week, got to stand to the side of him within the booth..... wow, I was impressed to say the least.
