pioneer djm fx. any tips?

Never really delved into the fx section of the pioneer mixer (namely the djm 800). Only ever really use a filter. I played after afrojack the other week and got to see up close what he was doing in the dj booth. He had a dubstep tune playing and fucked around with it using the FX section and turned into into a DnB beat. You never know, he might have had a tune that turns into a DnB beat and was just adding delay or some shit but it seemed to me like he was using an effect to do this.

Anyone got any ideas on how this was done. Also has anyone got any cool tips or links to anything with regard to the fx section on the pioneer range of mixers. I've been doing some research but would be good to see if anyone on here has anything to share.
