Looking for midi mixer
Hi this is my first post new to this site.
My current setup is 1 kontrol x1,Behringer vmx 100, 2x KRK Rokit 5's and Numark dj i/o. I also have a pair of stanton t62's that i dont use anymore.
My question is with my kontrol x1 i can control 2 decks and have to use my vmx 100 as external mixer via the dj i/o but heres the problem it doesnt control any of the mixer faders, knobs etc so im looking for a mixer that will or a controller (if that is possible?)
I am on a tight budget at the moment and was considering the behringer ddm 4000.
Thanks

I don't get it... if you use your dj i/o as soundcard, you're basically mixing externally so the faders, eq's and all that should be controlled via external mixer, then fx's, cue's and all transporting function should be controlled by X1,right?
Now, if you get the ddm4000 you can use it as a midi controller and use 4 decks in traktor, if that's what you wanna achieve?

Sorry i meant doesnt control any of the mixer faders, knobs etc in traktor. I want to be able to control the hi mid low's etc internally using an external mixer.
Thanks

yea I would go with the X-Session that Inverted83 posted as the cheapest option.
bc whats the point of controlling midi with an external?
If you already have the VMX100, why get another mixer?
I'm not criticizing, just trying to figure what you're trying to do or why.

Well when i use my mixer with traktor it doesnt control anything in traktor only what i can hear through my monitors if i record mixes using traktor none of the fading,hi mid low cuts etc work.

If you can wait till next year Xone will launch a very good controller that will fit your needs and will make you throw your Numark DJIO away :)
Check it out Xone:K2

You basically has the same problem as me, I want to be able to record my mixes using external mixing.
Before buying a new hardware I would consider try to get your Record Out and put it on your Notebook Microphone IN and record your set with Audacity for Windows or other similar for Mac OSX.
Then you can decide if you want to mix internally or externally.
Anyway you can buy the Xone K2 next year and mix externally too, as it has two stereo outs...

well I dont think you understand the point of an external mixer, but yeah if you get a midi mixer you'll be able to control Traktor.
edit: rephrase- you can just record into the line input on your computer. that way you still use your mixer and you can record. you can use a program like Audacity to record
