wow! i hadnt even seen one of these before, christ id just be happy looking at it! although you could give producing a try :)

if you don't produce i guess it's pretty useless.
i guess you could midi link it to traktor and add a couple synth bits into your dj set.... then again, sure that would get kinda old.
a sneaky sell might be your best bet. depending on who bought it for you maybe you can get a similar piece of gear that's actually useful to you, like a similar looking midi controller or whatever. just pass it off as the gift lol.
how would i use it with traktor, i own a midi to usb cable but i dont know how to put the MC-505 in midi mode
I used to have an MC-505 - great little toy :)
as far as I recall, it always outputs midi - just hook up some midi cables and you should be able to use it to control Traktor / whatever.
btw - I don't think you'd get much money for it... probably no more than £200 at a push.
Shabazz Palaces uses a SP-555 with Serato, but he's not really a DJ, and that's not exactly a 505.
You can always do what MIA did and just experiment with it. Who knows, you might get something cool out of it.
