totally check out dan brown! amazing writer and i think you would like Vince Flynn (he sounds very similar to matthew reilly) and thanks for letting me know about matthew reilly i will for sure check him out!!
Dan Brown makes me want to scrub my eyeballs with wire wool ... really really can't stand things on that tip (which includes Tom Clancy/John Grisham and their ilk)
Just my opinion though - more people reading whatever floats your boat is a good thing
no problem dude...my friend got me into them and ive been hooked ever since! vince flynn has pancreatic cancer and had to push the release date of his new book back to feb 7th 2012 but he says its gonna be better than ever...such a badass
you wanna start with term limits (first book) and then mitch rapp gets introduced in transfer of power (2nd book and my favorite)
(I knew I started a book thread somewhere)
You can also add non music magazines to this list....
"The partly cloudy patriot - Sarah Vowell" was fantastic
so was "Lonesome Dove" my dad's favorite book...
I have no idea how I missed this thread for nearly 3 weeks.
If your into sci-fi at all then a must read is Neromancer by William Gibson and Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. Although if you are into sci-fi I'm sure you already have....
Game of Thrones better than the series
For sci fi you can't go past Phillip K Dick start on one of his short story books
For something a bit deeper Arthur C Clarke the 2001 series is great
The Dune series by Frank Herbert
William Gibson of coarse
Charles Bukowski is a laugh
