How do i mod my AKAI LPD8 to get bigger KNOBS (ooer!)

I guy in the shop sapphires UK said his mate found a website to mod the lpd8 for bigger knobs and to make the pads a bit more sensitive

i can't find it anywhere anyone got an ideas?

STOP DON"T the knobs seem to be mounted into the case i took mine apart too all the screws out and i could not remove the pcb, so i put it back together now it does not work. save yourself some money and don't try.

dude, just buy some dowel rod the same diameter of the knobs, cut the dowel rod, file the notch off the top of the plastic knob, and glue that piece on. Now you have larger knobs.

it was a guy in sapphires London said his friend glued knobs form a RANE mixer on the LPD8. he also said he put tape under the pads to make them more responsive?

I've ordered my knobs from www.banzaimusic.com. They have all kinds of spares. I've used this type:

http://www.banzaimusic.com/Mini-Fluted-knob-orange.html

Just pull the original knobs (they are not glued or screwed) and place the new ones. Check out the attached picture.

My PC at work does that, when you put in your info and wait for the reditrecting screen. If it goes back to the log in hit refresh on your browser, always seems to work for me then?

Might be teaching you to suck eggs but i like eggs.

According to the banzai product page, these knobs are copies of the davies 1900 knob.

If you google that, you should find a supplier in your area.
