nice find!
what bugs me all the time is, when i see mixes being sold? i never understood why people would sell dj-mixes and why people would buy them.
Mix CDs used to be a way to get people into a label or "sound of a scene". Of course that was when music was mostly purchased and rarely available to digitally steal.
I don't mind paying for mixes if their done well. My life would be incomplete without Nightlife 2 mixed by Andy C. I have so far bought it twice, and that's just a mix cd. I think what's missing is truly great mixes now considering that not a lot of dj's put much thought into what works. Radio 1 essential mix seems to be the best place for that kind of mix curation.
on of my favorite mix cd's is http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pure-Pacha-2...464442-4254931
when pete tong was still rockin it

This is one of my favourites (yes its on vinyl!)
2 many dj's - as heard on radio soulwax pt.2
I would never buy a mix if it is digital. But if its a c.d.. well I have hundreds off them lol Casettes and all we used to record radio 1's essential mixes. Though something about buying a digital mix just makes it seem like a waste of money. Theres something special about owning a hard copy.
