Korg Volca Bass Midi Out Mod

Just thought I should share here a video I made showing the midi out mod on my Korg Volca Bass controlling the MS-20 mini. In fact it can sequence any external synth with 5 pin midi input.

That's wild. 2 questions - Does the CV outs on the volcas work with ms20 mini? and how hard was the mod to pull off?

Volcas don't have CV outs, just a sync out. MS-20 mini receives "gate/pitch" over midi. The mod was very simple, you just have to decide how to add the mid out connector to the case OR you can do just like me and solder the cable straight to the board, which of course you cant remove like you would with the connector but due the lack of space on the Volca case I think it makes much more sense aesthetic speaking. Thanks. I thought the sync jack was basically just CV
