I just got an email from DJTT a few days ago containing a survey for a VCI-100 MKii mapping and on the about page the electrical engineer (Michael Mitchell) says that since making the midifighter that he has "some exciting new products currently in the works."
My question is how long Michael Mitchell has been working on this piece (assuming it isn't some joint venture). My guess is that it's going to be something that will be easily complimented by a MF or MF-pro, so probably a midimixer of some sort.
Oh good lord I hope it's a mixer. Or a BETTER mfPro!
Think S4, no jogs, all the buttons are arcade. I guess that wouldn't be very creative, though, huh... just a boat load of buttons knobs and faders... Then again .... what else do we need???
It's just going to be simple buttons and knobs used in a creative. I don't believe they have the means to make any more complex hardware like high res jog wheels, encoders with feedback, etc.
Ohh I'm sure they do. If I do then they most certainly do, it wouldn't be manufactured by djtt but it is easily possible that they are getting some parts custom made.
If they get some parts made in modules it could work like that, i think before we make assumptions like that we need to have a look at there existing products and wait and see what there new product is.
Whatever it is i'm sure it will be awesome, i think it will be some kind of midi mixer in the same build style as the mf classic
Actually that sounds pretty cool. I'd be interested.
i agree with MrPopinjay. When creating something complex DJTT usually works as advisers to a larger company who do all of the manufacturing. see Novation Twitch, Kontrol S4 and S2.
History shows that when DJTT design and manufacture something themselves its the simple but effective use of buttons and knobs. ie midi-fighter/pro's etc.
