Xwax & Phase DVS?

Just a quicky for anyone who knows more than me on this:

The new Phase DVS system (should it arrive in November) is looking good to me so i'm hoping it should work fine in producing the generic time code needed to run Xwax. I've read reviews/articles talking about it plugging into your DVS box and also other textsaying it simply plugs into your choice of DVS software.
My old SL2 box has now gone and i'm thinking this Phase system is a better way to go using any old turntable paired up with Xwax. Surely i don't still need an outboard DVS box (traktor/rane etc) to use after the signal has come from the Phase box?
