What are the MIDI Fighter MIDI messages?
Are the MIDI messages sent and received by the MIDI fighter written down somewhere?
I want to know when buttons are pressed and I want to change the light colors. If I could change which of the top four "wide" buttons are lit that would be awesome.
I write my own software and I send and receive MIDI messages as bytes (I use RtMIDI). So I don't think I can use these "mapping" files. I need to know what is being sent over the wire as MIDI.
I found a website that says the lights light up if you send NOTE ON for that button's note, and the colors are set as velocities. But it didn't say what colors are what velocities.
I know button presses are notes and it must be sending stuff like rotation as CC messages but I don't know which ones. I bet I could figure it out by just looking at all the incoming MIDI and writing it down but it would be great if it were written down somewhere already :)
My unit is a black MIDI Fighter 3D 4x4.
