MF 3D button digitally "sticking"

Just got a replacement MF3D and upon flashing it and getting it set up i noticed that one of the buttons keeps sending out a midi signal a bit longer than the rest, almost like its lagging or getting stuck yet the button works fine mechanically. Trying to get the bootloader to work so i can try and flash it back to factory settings, doesn't seem to be working. Tried updating the firmware as well. its a minor inconvenience but would love to solve it and hope it isnt another hardware issue.
