Default permenantly fix usb cable into controllers usb port?

at home i like using maschine on my lap on the couch and my problem is that the damn usb cable finds its way out of maschine, and after a couple of times the program freaks out freezes and needless to say - its a real flow killer.

so my question is simple - will using solder or epoxy, on the outside of the usb plug once its plugged into the controller, will that damage anything more then the resale value of maschine?

Did you try putting some paper or something thin on the side of the connector?

Hellyeah that'll damage the resale value, that's insane! Why dont't you just duct tape the cable onto the chassis? Very non destructive and will get the job done.

ha i have no intention on selling it. ive sold my fair share of synthesizers and drum machines in hard times but this is a keeper. its an annoying thought that a musical instrument uses something as flimsy as a standard usb cable, and keeps you bound to a desk/flat stable surface

Fuck resell value, what about when the cable breaks? That'll be a pain in the ass. Duct tape solves all life's problems.
