Default The upcoming, super, innovating, beautiful, Twister!!!! forum structure idea.

There is a new baby coming in this forum, the super Twister. We are a lot, to be very excited about this new product from DJTT. I’m receiving mine on Monday and I look forward to give you my impression on this little beast. In the mean time, I’m posting this new subject for a open discussion on the forum architecture.
    Keep it or change it?

I would create a new section for the add-on controller. The name, I’m not sure, I didn't find a good generic name that would please every user. I use Traktor, so I would call it, the Remix deck section, can’t talk for the Ableton or Serato fans, I’m hoping to have some suggestions. For now, lets call it the Add-on section.
    Here is my idea:

In the DJ gear section you would have a section call the (new name…) referring to the add-on controller. The ones that we use, to control the: Remix deck, Sample deck or other section in Ableton. This is the Hardware section only. The questions would be around, troubleshooting, mapping, mods, DIY,tutorials, resources, etc..
    Add-On controller Resources and Discussion:

    The sub-subject pinned would be.
-The MidiFighter Classic, Pro, Spectra and 3D
    -The twister
    -The Kontrol F1
    -Etc…

In the Software, production and Mixing section you would have a section for the add-on controller Content. This section would be the goodies buffet. The questions would be on, how to import, how to create, where to buy or exchange, the color code, tutorials, techniques. etc…
    Add-on Content resources and discussion:

    The sub-subject pinned would be.

-Mad Zach Weekly Sound Pack Discussion
    -Remix set section
    -Sequencer set Section
    -Loops, Sample, Accapelas
    -Etc…

Like I said before, this subject is for a open discussion!
The goal is to give a good access to the information and to stimulate the exchange for the greater good.

Hello Arnerd, I did received mine last week, it is in deed a nice design, well built. The feeling is good, the pots are soft and the push functions adequate, it doesn't make to much click noise when you push them.
I realized it is the kind of gear that is going to need support, I mean by that, I hope we are going to have access to a nice pool of Sequencer Sets because at first I tough I could easily use the remix Sets but it doesn't work that way. The sets need to be well built for the sequence, in a specific way that in can be in phase with your master tempo.
I have some small bugs, but I imagine the guys at DJTT are a little bit in the juice, so they are going to need time to adjust to the orders and support.
I'm running a lot of things at the same time in Traktor. I play with the S4, Kontrol F1 and the Akai apc40map mainly for shaping the sound. The addition of the Twister seem to be a little to much, I had to change my latency, so my system doesn't clip but now my hot cues and effects are not optimal.
I will give a little more time and testing before I make my opinion.

    Btw, Arne, great set!

Thx man glad you like it, a follow, repost or like, mean the world to me so dont hold back

Im thinking about getting two twisters, one for EQing, and 1 for effects.
Got an s4 in combination with a Push. Eventually ill get rid of the s4 i guess. And maybe built my own controller.
