    kazkox you need to set the mix recorder to external, source deck d, and change deck d over to live input on the drop down menu. deck d will not be used for playback, only as a recording source. same principle with any soundcard with inputs when recording externally.
    or... you can just record internally and use the x1600 as a midi controller.

    If you use the built-in audio-interface of the X1600 (and not another external one)
    it's indeed possible to use all 4 decks for playback and record internally when using Traktor in external mode:

    Depends of course on your setup (how many decks are used for Timecode, etc ...)
    But, as example, if you don't use Timecode, you can try the following setup:

    (1) On the X1600-Utility:

    (1) Audio -> (7) USB Audio -> (1) USB Assign-> CH(annel)
    (1) Audio -> (7) USB Audio -> (2) Out Sel -> set 7/8 to REC
    (1) Audio -> (7) USB Audio -> (3) Preset -> set up the (USB)-channels (CH1: USB1/2, ... CH4: USB7/8)

    Set up the input selector for each channel (either to USB1/2-USB7/8 or to preset P1-P4)

    (2) In Traktor:

    Output routing: external mode -> set up the outputs: Deck A: 1/2 - .... - Deck D: 7/8

    Input routing: set Input FX Send : 7/8

    Mix Recorder: Source: External / External Input: Input FX Send

    I don't use Timecode myself, so you have to try it out for yourself if this also works when using DVS.
    But if I remember correctly, it should be possible if you set up, for instance, Deck A+B for DVS and Deck C+D like above.

    I have tryed using live input and other options that are mentioned here, increasing latency doesnt help either. Still the recorded file cracks. Probably I will have to mix internally only.

    So only the recorded file cracks? There are no cracks in Traktor during playback/recording?

    Using tools like Latencymon might help you to find out if something else is interfering.
    Or in most cases disabling the X1600 and/or internal PC soundcard in Windows sound preferences might also help ...

    These hints can all be found in NI's Windows Tuning Tips, which are, in general, worth to check out:

    I run a DN-X1600 /w 3 timecode sources / 1 remix deck using this exact setup and can confirm it works as expected. You can play back all 4 decks in Traktor and still record using external recording, broadast to mixlr, etc.

    Yes, only the recorded file. Sounds great, I will try it tomorrow as I'm busy this week.

    The other issue I got is running it with ableton 9 standart, I can not run it properly as soon as I change the audio device ableton crashes and that is only when I try switching to ASIO. I dont understand why is that cus I have tryed many options and it did not work, but once it was working... Cant figuer out out why it was working. There are no other background app's running who uses ASIO, tryed with 32-bit and 64-bit.

    What's the main difference between the Denon sound card and the Audio 6?
