Becuase every blog article on the internet says you need to produce to get booked for DJ gigsI just don't understand how anyone can see the appeal in buying someone else's track and slapping their name on it.
- doesnt seem to matter what kinda crap it is either, look at SHM
But seriously, ghost producing is something that happens behind the scenes in every genre, I know people that write multitudes of lyrics / melodies which are bought by major labels they then get locked away in storage somewhere until the right artist comes along and throws their own vocal down on top of it to call their own.
The only difference with "EDM" is that you could release the tune without touching it yourself whatsoever.
