Jester, to be honest the DN-X1600 does everything I need (I think). As a user of one I have a couple of questions,

    1. Are the internal effects pre or post fader?
    2. There is an EFX Send/Return at the back. How is this selected from the face of the unit? - (I may get a seperate EFX unit as well)

Cheers in advance, I may have to go shopping soon!!

    Cheers Jester

This is just what I am after, never had a Denon mixer before. I may have to take the plunge, just have to find one now at a decent price.

I've never looked at Denon mixers, i mean PROPERLY looked at them. But that 1600 looks like a LOT of fun.

BUT - the 1700 looks like an absolute BEAST! TWO fully assignable FX sections?!? TWO separate Sends?!?

That is BAD. Those 2 sends are awesome. Means you can record a mix in a separate DAW/multitrack and record each of 2 decks separately. That would be a LOT of fun.

Don't know if that is worth £1,400 to me though...

I Just in my pants. My 1600 cost an arm and a leg because to get one in from the states would cost $600 just for shipping (over 10kg) .. so actually worked out slightly cheaper for me getting one down from auckland (around $2k NZD all up) .. way cheaper now though. The 1700 is definitely a beast and the 2900 players are amazing.

    Cheers.

That deal is amazing, shame I don't need CD players as I have 2x SL1210s.

If I had ANY spare cash lying around I'd be buying that package and flogging on the CDJ's.
