Looks great! Only had a quick test but track analysis is mighty quick - 8 simultaneous on my iMac. The beatgridding is amazingly accurate too - it got 100% of 30 odd tracks bang on, including finding the first downbeat, without any adjustments. Finally indeed!

i'm really impressed with this. I could see this being implemented even further in the future with DJ gear and completely shut the door on Serato in the future. Once Pioneer launches their new Vinyl Turntable they previewed at trade shows this year, I think this will have everything Serato has at that point.

But the UI redesign is very well done, and the fact that it's got every button & feature on a CDJ2000 built into the software makes it really easy to test out transitions before a gig. marking cue points now with color & comments is really handy, the track match is nice to suggest similar songs. multiple playlists, EXPORTING IS FASTER. They did a really phenomenal job with this update. long overdue, but now that it's here, as we march further to the future I can see this being a real big contender in the DJ software field. I'm not sure if you can link in CDJ's & the DJM into the software like you could with the old rekordbox (just for loading tracks from library tho), but if you can, and it now visually shows you the beatmatching and such, well that's as good as serato, without the $800 box and extra cables

    Finally!!!!

Now I REALLY want a second CDJ2000 to replace my CDJ1000.

It doesn't look like they are partnered with Mixvibes though, no logos or anything.

    mixvibes is not partner anymore.

but I did a cross comparison with the Key analyzing in Rekordbox and the existing Key tags from Mixed in Key and it's close to 95% the same now. I'm actually wondering if Mixed in Key might be less accurate and Rekordbox picked up the other tracks as the proper keys.

Would love if DJ Techtools did an updated comparison of the key detection in Rekordbox 3 & Mixed in Key 5

Does Rekordbox 3 use the camelot notation yet? I have all my stuff using KeyFinder since it is automatically rewriting the keys in Camelot notation.

Been waiting for this for a while! Thought Camelot notation was owned by Mixed in Key or licensed?

It is, but they could license it :P

    Traktor has their own.

Looks nice only a few stops short of being standalone DJ software ... hmmmm

IMHO it looks like they might go the route of rolling out full featured software in the future to go with their Controllers rather than relying on Serato ?
