    Default Denon SC5000 Prime

Love the hardware cue buttons despite having the (multi)touch display.
    Loop/loop move encoder!
    2(3?) USB slots!
2 deck output (that "layer" button?) for a single unit

not so much love for the simple toggle switch for jogwheel stiffness

I like the artwork in the middle of the jog wheel...

What i really don't get though is why they spread that hideous render (seen in the first post in this topic) In real life this thing actually looks really good IMO.

And every manufacturer creating their own new ecosystem isn't something I'm really enthusiastic about either to be honest.

If Engine is good and can work with other software cue points this is very interesting unit. Maybe I don't like the green color scheme but the rest of the design is good.

How about the same manufacturer creating a new ecosystem for each product series? Supposedly the Engine Prime software isn't compatible with the old Engine software for the MCX8000/SC2900/SC3900, which in turn isn't compatible with the S3700 and HS5500.

With a few exceptions, all Pioneer devices since 2009 support the same Rekordbox library.

All true. What's worse, there are now three different Engine versions:
    - 1.0.1 (yes, that's ONE bugfix/update in 4 years!) for iOS that used for browsing with SC2900/3900 players but cannot be used with MCX8000 (despite it having a LAN port)
    - 1.5.2 that's used for library managment, file analsys and export to USB sticks for SC2900/3900/MCX8000
    - Engine Prime that's compatible only with SC5000 and has no export mode for older hardware whatsoever. Probably no iOS version will be released because Prime hardware have sufficient screens.

S3700 and HS5500 players also deserve a mention because they use Denon Music Manager software (win only!) & for which none of the software above has the ability to export files to USB/create a database.

I'll bet it's all because different outsourced teams developed code for Denon but still have rights on it so it cannot be integrated under one software.
