Question HINTS!!!!! which turntables should I have to buy?

    Hi guys,

I would like to switch from CDJ to TURNTABLES, using Traktor TimeCode Vinyl.

I don't have an high budget, I mean I can spend maximum 500\600€ for both turntables, I've seen the following:

    - American Audio TTD 2400
    - Reloop RP 2000M
    - Stanton T92
    - Reloop RP 4000M
    - Audio-Technica AT-LP120

And buy the way, what about a good and cheap mixer?????

thanks in advance for your precious suggestions.

I'm not sure what used Technics go for where you're at, but I often see them around $350 per for 1200 or 1210's here in the States. If pricing is similar where you're at, I wouldn't exclude Technics as you could probably find some in your budget.
    2 x Technics 1210 MKII, Pioneer-DJM 900 Nexus, Traktor Scratch Pro, NI F1,
Ableton Live 9.6 Suite, Ableton Push, Studio One 3, Moog Sub37, Roland Alpha Juno 2, Korg MS-20 Mini, Yamaha TG-77, TR-8, Rhodes MKI Stage, Wurlitzer 200a, couple pedals, couple amps, lots of software and a freakin iPad

Technics would be good, very good, but unfortunately in Italy, where I live, they are much more expensive. Like 500/600 € for an used one.

    Thanks.

Recently I bought a pair of 1200 mk2's, been looking for a decent and affordable set for 5 weeks and went to see a couple of sets before I bought a pair for 500. Needed new cables, pitch calibration and new needles. All those you can do yourself but I end up buying Ortofon Concordes to replace the Stanton cartridges. I'm living in the Netherlends btw.
Anyway, if you have patience en negotiation skills, you can buy a decent set of technics for under 600 euros. Or I've heard good thinks about OEM's (they are rebranded and sold under like 3 or 4 brands, don't know which ones)..

    Thanks for the Answer!!!!
I'm still looking for Technics, and I'm not hurry.

I've also heard good things about OEM's products like Synq X-TRM 1 with incredible characteristics:
    - Very High Torque Direct Drive motor: 4.5kg.cm
    - Extremely fast start, adaptable from 0.2 to 6 sec.
    - Extremely fast stop, adaptable from 0.2 to 6 sec.
    - 3 speeds: 33, 45, 78 rpm with quartz lock
    - 3 Pitch adjustment ranges: +/-10% +/-20% +/-50%
    - Forward / reverse play
    - 2 Start / stop buttons for maximum flexibility
    - Unbreakable white LED target light
    - Phono/line switch: connect your turntable to any input on your mixer!
    - All metal S-shaped tone arm assembly with:
    - Counterweight
    - Height adjustment with locking
    - Anti-skating adjustment
    - Lever lift with height adjustment
    - Adjustable large feet for perfect leveling

the same turntable as Stanton ST 150 or Audio Technica 1240 or many others....

They are like 300€ for a new one.

The 50% pitch variation and the high torque of 4.5kg.cm which allows a start stop in 0.2 sec are pretty attractive.

    What do you think guys?

Vestax PDX's are IMHO one of the best decks out there and can be had cheap as hell.

And yet despite this my PDX mk2s still work just as well as they did when Vestax were still in business?!

Definitely the best bang-for-buck second hand turntables out there in my opinion. Great features, massive torque, and nigh on indestructible.

PDX 2000mk2s normally clock in at half the value of equivalent Technics (despite costing the same new) and in every aspect apart from nostalgia & pitch fader I prefer them over my 1210s.

Check out the Gemini PT series (1000, 2000, 2100, 2400), can be picked up for next to nothing and really are underrated.
