It wouldnt surprise me if you could create your own file browser in M4L

What do you mean by that ? Ms Pinky is its own timecode setup and has nothing to do with Torq ?

What makes Ms Pinky so cool is that its the only timecode currently that works with M4L, sure you could probably make your own like Nathan Ramella did with Ammobox - but the ms-pinky timecode in M4L is a commercial grade vinyl position emulation.

    Ableton answered:
"While a run time version of Live has been requested before, this is not something we intend on pursuing."

I assume they meant M4L and not Live, since I asked for a runtime for M4L in my email ...

Bentosan - can you load up 2 instances of Pinky M4L (on 2 different tracks in Live) and use it like a standard DVS software? Can you play full tracks in Pinky M4L, or is it just for scratching short clips?

You can load up as many instances as you would like, so you can have an unlimited amount of decks.

And yes you can play full tracks, or just short scratching clips.

The timecode is also very accurate and very low latency, i really cant fault it and nor could my friend who has mixed with real wax vinyl for his entire life.

Groovy... I'm gonna sell my Mixvibes DVS 7 and buy Pinky.

PM me if anyone is interested in getting MV7 DVS for a rock bottom price - no reasonable offer refused!
