Hello DJTT
Im downloading a lot of music on my laptop and if I were to plug my laptop in directly to the modem would it make my downloads go faster than using my standard wireless card to pick up internet??

As long as you have a steady signal between your laptop and the modem, it wont make a difference mate. i'm down the other end of the house from my room and still get 2-3 mbs no worries.
