Default what type of diodes/lead wires do i need for the arcade mod?

so im not the most electronic savvy, but im ready to try my first mod. could anyone tell me which type of lead wires/diodes i need to mod my vci? or are there even different types of diodes? i noticed that they came pre-soldered in the DIY kit, so does this mean i will need to solder the leads together before soldering them to the ground wire? any help would be much appreciated. thanks

I did my VCI Arcade mod myself. Just bought the buttons, machined the case and wired up per the video. If there were diodes I didn't put any. The small wire harness in the kit is just to put all the grounds from the buttons to the wire in the VCI wiring. You can easily make this up yourself. I did it by daisy- chaining the grounds (solder the VCI to the first, then add a wire from the first to the second, then one from the second to the third, etc.).
