question for padKONTROL users

I'm using a pc and am getting a padkontrol today. I have been reading up, and am wondering if not being able to use farmpad is going cripple my options as much as I think it is?

if you cant use farmpad then you could use bomes or even PD to extend the capabilities of the controller

You could do what bento said, yes. However, to truly unlock the entire functionality of the padKontrol, you will either have to program PD, Max, or Bomes to send it SysEx messages that can get pretty complex, or just run Farmpad. Don't get me wrong, the padKontrol can still do great things running how it comes from the factory, but it's not as customizable without Farmpad.
