    yo i just got 7 and omg I am in love. I am loving the slice to midi feature now I can do cue point juggles on the fly with my oxygen. more mash up possibilities for me I can't wait.

    Traktor does better track manipulation on the fly and with less preparation.
    Hence why i use Traktor routed into Ableton, the best of both worlds.

    Your right... but TBH I CBF using both.

    Slice to Midi is dope. But for me there is two things that really make Ableton 7 for me.

    1. Nudge! You cannot really use vinyl with ableton without this!
    2. In built side-chain compression!!

    .. also spectrum.. but you can get decent VSTs for this.

    Ableton really does lots of cool stuff that Traktor doesnt and vice versa, they really both offer two separate styles of mixing. I find Ableton great for launching small loop, recording audio for live looping playback, FX, launching single hits and dummy clips.
