    Default Traktor beatjumping?

Hey guys, is it possible to MIDI map a control to beatjump in Traktor Pro? As in have a particular button jump forward 8 beats? I know this was possible in Traktor 3 but can't find the command anywhere in the MIDI mapping list!

    Cheers,

not sure I understand the question. Do you want to trigger cue point 8?

what I need to be able to do is skip forward 8 beats in a track without having to use my mouse and go into the beatjump panel. but in traktor pro, there does not seem to be a midi command for this....

Im thinking seek position, as a button set to direct with the value being 8? or something along those lines.

To see it click the move button just below the play button on a deck.

Drop down needs to be set to beatjump

    Mappings section is:

    add in > cue/loops > cue/loop move size

    +/or

    add in > cue/loops > cue/loop move

    I just did it!

It moves the position of the play bar in the song whilst it's playing. You can set it for 8 bars, 16 bars, 32 bars, etc

You need to dig further into the settings but those are the midi mappings you set.

Yes it's called Beatjump in version 1.2.4 in the dropdown under Cue/loops and if u select button for type of controller u can then select the size u want in the button options dropdown to have a button set to always jump the amount u set.

yes i did it! thanks. but the problem is I needed to use three commands to get each button to work. guess i can deal with that:

    1. Set cue/loop mode to beatjump
    2. Set cue/loop size to 8 beats
    3. Cue/loop move

This means that no matter where on the advanced pannel menu I am it will always move the beats and not the loops instead.

This is a great tool for dance/electronic muic because it is so repeptitive so you don't get glitches and pops when you skip over the beats.
