    Default Lost tracks

    Hi guys

So, a few weeks ago, for some reason, Traktor 'lost' about 1000 songs. I don't really have the time to go through and relocate all of them individually.

Does Traktor offer a quick way to only relocate those missing tracks? I haven't had time to sit and fight with it, but before I do something that could possibly break it and make me feel... well... angry, I was wondering if anyone had this problem, knew what caused it, how to fix it and the whatnot.

Also, iTunes is doing something strange. It isn't reading half of my collection's tags. I'm letting Traktor run right now to write them to be sure that it goes through. If that doesn't work, is there a quick fix that won't cause me to lose my mind?

    thanks

    :-)

I used this method to import all of my tracks into Traktor the other week, maybe it'll help you...

    Open up traktor.
Go to 'Track collection' (in the browser bit at the bottom).
    Right Click.
    Select 'Relocate'.
Then either 1) choose the directory the missing songs live in, to find just those or 2) choose the root directory, to find EVERYsong on your hard drive.
    Let Traktor do it's thing.

    ....MIX!

Okay, so that will definitely fix it? I was worried that it would only look for files in that directory, and not in the subfolders. Will do that when I get home

    Thanks

Yeah, it sweeps through that folder and all its sub-folders - Just start as high up the tree as you think you need

Yes.. Traktor will look up in folders within a root drive/folder.

I have my external drives with several genres folders. When that happens or want to update the collection... I just point the missing/new files to the genre folder and Traktor looks for them.
