USB Cable for Focusrite Saffire 6

After much deliberation I think I'm going with the Focusrite Saffire 6 as my sound card.

I've read about some issues concerning the supplied USB cable, so I'm wondering whether or not the DJTechTools cable will do the job for me. My main question is whether the cable will work well with the Focusrite's USB 1.1 connection. The page did not state whether or not the cable was backwards-compliant with USB 1.1.

Would the DJTT cable do the job well? Is there a better USB sound card under 300 I should be looking at with better sound quality than the Focusrite? (USB because my laptop's firewire port is not powered) Does the Focusrite have any other known issues?

i dont know this soundcard, but every usb 2.0 cable ist backwards compliant to usb 1.1
you might want to look into an NI audio 4 as another option.
