Default Gater not in time with the beat?

I could have sworn the gater was in time with the music? Mine isn't any more. am I tripping or was gater never in sync with the beat?

If it's not in time to something, it just means it's following a different tempo source. Make sure your grids are spot on, that the deck is either synced to the master clock or a master deck, or is the master deck, and it'll always be on time.

    Thanks tho

LoL! Yeah, gating really syncopated sparse drums is kinda iffy sometimes.

Yeah, it's just that if there's a lot of space between hits, sometimes the gater only sounds like it's half working, since it's just gating silence.

I wish there was a way to modify chained FX, so that I could make the white noise on the gater less extreme! Annoys the hell out of me.

sometimes it works well, other times I would just like something with less white noise, for vocals and stuff.

you could use the gater in advanced? or have you got it chained with phaser and lfo filter for insta-wobble basslines?
