    Hey buddy. Cool idea but i think practically this may be a problem. I think under the uv the wheels would show up very bright and could quite possibly make it difficult to see your other controls maybe... dunno. I'm a uv fiend from way back but i wouldn't wanna do this myself. If you go for it post some pics so we can see how they look dude ;p

    I painted my wheels with black spray paint. About three good coats and no issues at all.

    plus if they get old for your taste you can remove them easily, it will be more frustrating with the paint when you want to change those. Painting over and over again creating multiple layers could potentially cause issues through time...

    sorry to bring up an old thread, but I'm thinking of doing this myself and was wondering if you sanded them down first or just sprayed on top of the existing paint? Thanks

    Definitely sand them down. I sanded them down and just put a coat on them. I actually want to repaint them now.
