Default help with brand new vci-300

my sister is currently in tokyo. she bought me a vci-300 there the other day and kept it against the wall of the room she stayed in. according to her, some parts of the box got wet due to condensation that formed on the wall overnight. she hasn't taken a look at the unit itself but she says the insides of the box seem dry (but that was like hours after she first noticed that it got wet). is there any chance that my vci had gotten damaged due to the moisture? i'm not sure how safely packaged the unit is

Id say the unit is safe, even if water got on the VCI-300 (which i doubt, the thing comes wrapped in plastic from memory) it will dry out by the time you get your hands on it.
