    Looks like there are some drawback trying to use it as a midi device though - check out here http://audionewsroom.blogspot.com/20...ia-maxmsp.html

    I personally think they are targeted at different audiences. The Monome is more for controlling whatever software you like while the Tenori-on is more of a mobile synth.

    I'd like to see some other uses for it. I'm not a big fan of beep and click electronic music... mostly those performances looked like primitive techno. What else can it do?!

    Yeh looked into the Tenori-on a while ago. Would be a great toy to just have lying around to play with, but i can't see it as a midi controller. Like Bento said it's more of a mobile instrument. Powerful though. It's cool how you can see the LED buttons from the back of the unit as well.

    Expensive toy!
