Default VCI-100SE Arcade Buttons Mod Pictures

i finished my arcade buttons mod on my VCI-100SE yesterday, and just wanted to share my pictures from the process with you guys.

    01 - ta'daaa!

02 - filled the old holes with chemical metal (aka. Jb Weld) then sanded it down. did one rough filling on each side, then 2 fine ones on the upside.

    03 - close up

04 - once the machinist started drilling, the fillings started to crack. i then had them cut out a square around the old holes, and weld in a new plate with the new ones. this is surely gonna last forever and will definatley take a beating.

    05 - close up

06 - filled the small gabs and sanded the whole thing down, dont worry if theres a little paint left, it just helps the new paint stick.

07 - if you wanna spray paint it, ALWAYS use a ground cleaner, and remember it takes a whole week for the paint to fully dry. (yes i had to dj one weekend without my controller, and yes, it really sucked)

08 - after watching a few youtube videos on how to solder, i did the rewireing.

    09 - close up

10 - to give the last finish, i painted the red lines on the knobs white. thats it :] ean and bentosan, thank you for inspiration, cutting guide and quick answers about the wireing, you guys rock!

Bravo! Welding the patches would have been my downfall and you just muscled on through. Great work.
