Fitting knobs to balance dials

I have to say, one of the positive things about Traktor Pro not having a functional VCI-100 .tsi file is that it has got me focusing on making my own maps and thinking creatively about how to map my controls.

I've been looking at the VCI now though and wondering if it's possible to fix knobs (perhaps the black DJTT when they are released) to the balance dials in order to use them for FX control etc. Has anyone tried/succeeded in this already? Or Ean, would it be possible to affix or glue the black knobs to these dials, with a little DIY fitting?
