    Default Cheapish speakers

    Hey Guys

I'm looking for a set of speakers no more than $300-400 to use just at home. I have an Audio 2 DJ sound card with some HDJ-1000 cans. I can't spend any more than that because I'm also getting the VCI-100 at the same time so my wallet will be pretty empty at the time.

    Any ideas and links please?

Remember, just for home usage but I still want as good sound quality as possible.

    Thanks

The logitec 2.1 systems sound pretty good. I used to use an altec lansing 2.1 that did the job, but currently use a panasonic bookshelf system that sounds surprisingly good.

I would suggest spending 100 bucks max, giving you more for your vci. I got the altec lansing system for 50, and i got my vci used for 300. Head down to your local electronics/computer store and ask to hear some demos.

    Happy mixing

Quite a few folks here use KRK Rockit monitors...

I very nearly bought these M-Audio powered speakers before my needs changed, I may still get some for my "spare room" studio, which has not much room... they get great reviews.

YA, I picked up a pair of the Bx5a's, though they were slightly more expensive here in South Korea. Happy with the sound more than enough for my sardine can of an apartment.
