Another "what do/buy" thread

Greetings, fellow djtechtools-members

I'm a 19 year old dubstep/dnb dj and producer from germany.
I'm looking for a midi-controller for digital djing with an audio-interface.

So long I've looked at:

- Hercules RMX
- Reloop Digital Jockey 2 Interface Edt.
- Numark Omni Control
- Vestax Typhoon

And I want to spend a maximum of about ~300$US (~250€ tops!)

I fell for the Typhoon yesterday, but felt like getting stabbed in the heart after seeing the note on the vestax page saying it doesn't support AMD CPUs (and I have an AMD64...)
What's up with that? Does my dream of the Typhoon end, or does anyone use it with an AMD CPU?
If so, I might have to jump back and decide to buy a Hercules or Reloop controller

You may want to check this thread as this thing looks promising.... no sound card but if it's as cheap as it says then you can afford to get one as well which may help if you upgrade in the future.

that would also mean i must look for a USB Audiointerface and read into that, or does any1 have tips for that?
I really don't know what to look out for when buying usb audiointerfaces :P

xone 2D is the way i would go if i were you, has a very high quality sound card and allows you to start of internal mixing if you can afford a mixer but when you can afford one you can send upto 4 channels to it from the xone, the xone could work as a 4 deck conrroller if you needed aswell, its a pretty solid piece of equip

hmm still wondering what the problem is with AMD CPUs and the typhoon...

IMO spring for the 2D if you can and expand to another 1D and possibly external mixer later. It'll feel really awkward at first, especially if you're doing internal mixing, but it'll be well worth it if/when you decide to expand.

Otherwise, I'll always vote for the Hercules RMX. It's the controller I got when I started DJing, and it's a really solid piece of equipment.

I got a deal for a used Hercules RMX for 190€ (~235US$)
He said the top (not front) headphone bus is a bit loose and it just looks a bit worn off...
