Default Xone 4D or VCI 100 SE?

    Hey Guys.
I am going to continue my studies away from home and need to take a more compact DJ setup with me. At home i currently use a Xone 92 with some CDJ's.

What i will be taking with me is my laptop with TSP and some smaller CDJ's (the 350's, Pioneer).

I cannot make my mind up what mixer and controller to take. I read a review on the Kontrol X1 and am not too interested in that. I was thinking of taking my 92 with two 1D's or a 4D or the VCI 100 se.

I will be using TSP in a traditional manner (beatmatching) as well as occasionally with 4 decks (beatgridded).

The VCI 100 SE Arcade is propably the overall best but i play alot of house/tech four to the floor and i'm not sure it would suit my style.
The 92 with two 1D's is a nice option but i may as well get a 4D for it's all in one connectivity and set up.

    What do you guys think?

If you want compact the VC!-100 beats everything else hands down. Get an X1 to go along with it if you think you need more knobs.

Sorry I didn't see that the first time. What about a Xone DX? It might fit your style a little better, save some money, and be more portable than a 4D.

you can get something to do 4 beatgridded decks that will be compact but if your taking cdj's with you and an external mixer for them the whole compact idea goes out the window imo....

I think the Xone DX won't be as good with Traktor as it is with Itch. The mapping is printed onto the case i think.

The Xone DX would be a pretty good choice, and the VCI would certainly be the most portable option.

But I'm biased. I have a 3D, and I think it's just the greatest thing ever. Go for the 4D.

    This. So very this.

Except you might want a 2D + 1D so you have the sound card.
