Default What should be the new piece of equipment?

So I want to get some scratching going on in my sets so I need advice on where to go with my set up. Here are my options:
Used technics 1200's for $450 (for a pair) and run a timecoded vinyl setup
    or
A motorized platter controller or cdj such as the V7 or the Technics DZ

And feel free to suggest any other options!

I can't scratch on controllers, well i can but i wouldn't do it in public.
With my current setup i use controllers for everything, except scratching and the occasional old school beat juggle(which i usually cut into a much better cue juggle, when the crowd doesn't seem to be feeling the controllers)
For me, nothing beats a real turntable. But then again i started out on tt's.
If you never really got into traditional decks, you may be much better of with a virtual turntable. I feel that i can't really do it because i have some kind of learning block that won't allow me to adjust to the platters.

I would try to find someone with a V7 and go play around on it for a while. Just to see if you think that it's something you could use.

I think DJUrkelDee has gotten the V7's mapped to traktor. Send him a pm.

Did he get moving platter support, I saw a workaround where someone burned the traktor control cd onto their harddrive, loaded that into itch then routed itch to the input of traktor. Are there any other moving platter controllers which are fairly real feeling or should I go with the real deal?

I would go for the real deal, also if you wanna play out and they already have a pair of SL's you don't have to drag large controllers with you.

Good point, alright well whata you think about this offer? 2 Technics 1200MK2 for $425 + optional $100 for 2 Shure Whitelabel needles? Should I try and barter on the price or is that pretty decent?

Depends on what state the decks are on. If they're doing fine, it probably is
