    Default Bought new sound card!

Well after the last 3 weeks problems with poor sound in big clubs I have now bought a Audio 4 Dj to work alongside my old and batterd vci-100, dont get me wrong the conncetiv by M-Audio has done me well but I felt it was time for a hight spec and trusted sound card.

So this week my ebay is mad busy with a vci-300 for sale and my Connectiv inc time code vinyls and cd's which i never actually used

    Happy days.

Audio 4 arrived this morning, it said free Traktor Duo upgrade but thats not the case but the most alarming thing is the latency on this card is terrible on my laptop!!10.5ms....the Torq Connectiv ran at 5ms latency....I am quite shocked with this!

NI was running a special with the Audio 4 and 2 that got you a free upgrade from LE to Duo. I think it ends this month so if you already have pro or whatever you could install the LE do the upgrade then sell (or give to a deserving up and comer) the serial number to the extra copy of Duo you now have.

I don't pretend to understand the technical aspects of latency, but Fatlimey posted some recent discoveries about it here.

    Default poor sound card!

I was so looking forward to a decent sound card with low latncey and easy install, this audio 4 is popping and clicking everywhere, esp the outout channel, man i am regretting buying this card big time!

My NI soundcards run at extremely low latency on my HP and my VCI. Make sure you are running the ASIO drivers

After you register your soundcard you should get an email from NI with your upgrade serial number. Sometimes it takes a day or two.

Cheers for the help guys...if only NI made it more clear it prob help others, as there was nothing in the box or at activation about any of that.
