    Default Gear Bags

Any personal experience using different gear bags for different equipment?

Right now I have a Targus messenger bag that holds my laptop, power cord, Uberstand, usb led light, mouse, control cd's, external HD, and occasionally (depending where I play) an Audio8 with the multicore cables. Needless to say, it's pretty tight if I have everything in there.

As more and more time goes by and I want to start using my Remote SL25 at gigs, I'm wondering if there's anything out there that would hold everything I mentioned above, plus the controller. Well, I should say that I know that there are items out there, but does anyone have personal experience with them?

Maybe there's something that would hold a DJM800 as well? grrr...I dunno.

    Thanks!

One comment on the UDG Creator backpack. I use a Targus Metro and love it, but even though it has great storage and transportation, it doesn't offer great protection, so the Creator seemed very appealing. I looked at pix, read reviews, and finally ordered one. I ended up returning it without ever using it.

It's very well built and padded, but its rigidity actually works against it, as the space you are allocated is not very flexible -- it doesn't expand. Think of it as a padded box with compartments. I couldn't come close to getting the same amount of gear I put in my Targus. The dealbreaker was the zippers. Big-teethed zippers that stick ALL the time. I relly had to force them and work them to get them to open. It drove me crazy.

Something to think about before plunking down $250.
