Default Traktor DJing with 44kHz music on a 96kHz audio interface

    Hello

I was wondering if a DJ with a 96kHz sound interface should play his music through Traktor on a 44kHz or a 96kHz while his music is in a 44kHz. I was feeling some sound distortion when I've set 96kHz on a audio output. Is it because of a hardware of my notebook or a because converting in real time the music from 44 to 96kHz.

    Thanks and Best regards

44khz is fine.... 96 is for studio shit.

you're getting distortion because your audio card is effectively having to make twice the amount of calculations in the same amount of time (with no benefit to sound quality). for a higher audio rate, you gotta raise your latency as well. long story short, leave it at 44khz.
