that looks really cool... and it has a sound card with 4 ins, 4 outs, and 2 headphone outs. Not sure I get it completely -- this is to be used as a midi controller with a computer I guess, not running off the ipad like numark's ipod rigs?
THIS IS NOT REAL.
It's a project from a design student, not a real product concept. Numark had NOTHING to do with this.
You can easily see that they are concept drawings at the level of a hobby 3d artist. I don't really see Numark choosing to produce these units because of the limited user base. Not alot of people worldwide own an iPad, most people are pretty sceptical still to that piece of gear. And I guess the ones who are into music and djing/producing might use their iPad differently.
$0.02..
damn whoever did this 3d drawing is pretty dang good
Setup:
Traktor Pro 2 / S2 MK2 / X1 MK2 / Audio6 / Pioneer HDJ2000 / Westone UM3X / rMBP 13 inch 2014 (2.8 GHz) / Focal Alpha 50
LOL. The rumour mill is a hard factory to stop.
The 3D is a bit poor too at the line faders are totally out of proportion to the rest of the controls (this struck me before nemOnic's post). And the USB ports are stretched to heck.
Concept wise, if this thing had a good, specific DJ program included, it could be money.
Phil.
MBP 10.6; Itch 2.2; Novation Twitch; TP 2.x; MF Classic; Ultrasone DJ1 Pro
Apogee Duet 2; Reason; Ableton 8; 49SL MkII; Maschine Mikro; Launchpad
it would be better with two ipads as the decks. touchosc style pages with rotary decks or a page of hot cues, loops, etc.
I think theres gonna be a bunch of hit or miss iPad products coming out as soon as iOS4 breaks.
and i was hope to see this at namm
is that the wrong type usb port??? should it be a b port?
