Default DDM4000 and Video SL hack

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2UnUtHXC2s

My friend is looking for a midi mixer to use with Video-SL, I told him that the ddm4000 is a midi mixer, but the xfader can't do both audio and midi at once.

apparently this guy figured out how to get it working? I don't speak spanish but that's what they said on the serato forums. how would this be possible? I figured if anyone would know they'd be here

This is not spanish, is portugues.

I don't know if Serato has internal mixing (with midi) but it is really easy with ANY dvs like Traktor or Torq.

that's the video, it was a bitch to desolder for some reason, but after that it's just wiring 3 points on the mb to 3 points on the x-fader board.

Where were you when I first posted this? haha, someone else figured it out and released the video above, which is what I used to do the mod. I'll keep you in mind if I ever need to holler at a Brazilian chick though

So now you've got a 4-channel mixer with only 3 channels that work, but a cross-fader that transmits midi alongside fading the audio?

I dont actually own the ddm4000, but that's correct, you gotta cannibalize one channel to get a midi/audio transmitting xfader. DDM4000 with this mod is pretty much the cheapest way to get into the video sl scene as far as my research goes
