I want to be able to externally mix @ least 3 channels... Was looking @ maya44 but it's gotten mixed reviews.. Audio8 is too expensive. Any help?

    Yeah mate. Save the monies.

If you're playing out, the A8 is the interface to have. It's loud, well supported, versatile, and just simply won't break.

Dropped mine down a concrete stairwell earlier this year... all the way down. The entire flight. Still slayin' with it.

It's either that or the SL-3, but Serato is very boring.

Yeah I haven't found a similar quality device.. Someone suggested a gigaport a while back and then someone else said to combine 2 cards as aggregate devices.. Don't wanna do that. Too unstable right?
    Well.. Audio8 it is then.

Echo Audiofire is also supposed to be good. They come in varying size as well. DJTT did a write-up on the Audiofire 2 and Audiofire 4 if you search the articles.

    EDIT:

Not to bring the thread too off-topic, but is there a problematic disadvantage to the Audio 2 DJ vs. the Audio 4? It seems like almost no one has the 2.

The only reason to have a 4 over a 2 would be if your going to use CDJ's or turntables.

The Audio 2 doesn't have any inputs and doesn't support timecode vinyl, where the Audio 4 does. The Audio 4 also has a dedicated headphone output, in addition to the 2 stereo outputs for the 2 decks. If you're not using turntables or CDJs (like me) then the Audio 2 is the simpler choice.

I use the 2 with a mixer and two controllers and it's everything I need. Never had a drama with it and fits nicely in the back of my flight case as opposed to a 4
