    Default Crystal VST Instrument

Hey guys and girls wondering if you could help me out here, I tried to install the VST instrument "Crystal" (http://www.greenoak.com/crystal/download.html) and then installed it on my Mac (Snow Leopard 10.6) but after installation it didn't appear in my applications but did appear in my Live VST instruments!?! When i search in spotlight it doesn't appear either, so where is the file for it?

    Dont panic.

This is completely normal. The instrument is a VST plug-in and doesn't work as a stand alone instrument. You need host software, in this case, Live.

There are some small stand alone VST hosts out there that effectively let you use VST's as stand alone instruments if this is what you need.

But if I can't find it's file anywhere, how would I delete it?

The file is in the following location:
If it's an AU (Audio Unit)
    (your harddrive)/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
    If it's a VST
    (your harddrive)/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST

Deleting this file will completely remove the plug-in from your system.

its in the same place where shit like Omnisphere is installed, click on your Mac HD, go into "Library" and then "Application Support", and there should be a folder named after the product or the manufacturer (Green Oak, Crystal VST, etc). Drag the folder into the trash.

Ah Crystal. Used to use this with Cubase on Windows about 8 years ago. Nice VST!
