Numark TTX, Stanton Str8-100, Numark TT500, Vestax PDX.

    Mixer Numark DXM06, 09, Ecler Nuo 2.0.

After mixing on high torque TTs I find it hard to even mix on Technics, they are very sluggish.

Also, what TABS said. I don't know much about turntables so I can't offer too much

No don;t even think about buying that. You could atleast get some Gemini TT-02,03s etc....or even some tt200s...Avoid any DJ In box stuff.

You don't have to have turntables. Look at getting a controller like the VCI-100 or the Hercules Steel or one of the Numark control series. Do you have a laptop? Your pretty much going to need that because you won't be able to prepare your music properly with just an iPod. Traktor and Serato both require you to be able to write tags to the music to be able to really use it. You can't edit files like that while they're on an ipod so you'll have to have a computer.

As far as software goes download the free trial of traktor pro and have at it for awhile. It's fully functional except for recording and you'll have to restart the software every 30 minutes. You can do a pretty decent mix with just a mouse and the keyboard if you practice.

Now slow down a little, go to the home page and read up on posts there. There's a link on the right that says roll a random post use that to keep getting different stuff.

you seem dedicated to get decks
listen: get a controller and traktor. especially if like me, your going to keep it in the bedroom 90% of the time
then once you know youre dedicated to this you can drop some cash on decks or what ever you want
