    Default turntables or vci-100 se???

    hi peeps

is the grass greener on the other side? at the mo my set up is two 1210's and traktor scratch duo. i'm thinking about selling up and purcasing a vci-100se (maybe the arcade version) and traktor pro. my reasons for this is mainly to be able to use effects and samples whilst in the mix, i know i can use effects with traktor duo but it's a pain in the arse trying use a mouse to adjust them. what i would like to know is how does the vci compare when trying to beat match, does it feel anything like vinyl or is it more sensitive? does the sync work button? if there is anything else i need to know before i put my 1210's on ebay.

    many thanx d-lux

Personally I'd not sell your tables! Get an X1 or something to complement them..! VCI-100 sucks for manual beatmatching

Agree, the X1 seems like a better way for you to go.

Gotta give another +1 on the X1.

Keep your TTs and get an X1.

VCI 100 is great but is absolutely no compensation for turntables. Not in any way shape or form. It is a whole other kind of going about things.

It is definitely not an 'either or' choice. Not for me anyway.

If anything id wait till the Kontrol S4 is out and try that. I imagine that is gonna be the closest to TTs that a controller can get.
Also the KS4 will eventually accommodate your TTs and timecode which might make you wanna hang on to them.

Not so helpful in the end eh

or... get the vci, run timecode on internal mix and use vci as midi mixer. keep both tables + have control of 2 extra decks + effects control

    You've made the right choice.

I just picked up an x1 and it's simply amazing. It's basically like having the Traktor interface sitting in front of you in physical form.

    Seamless.
