Interesting, very interesting. Alongside what will probably be a new 4 channels mixer from A&H (only a guess here).

    My guesses for BPM:
    Pioneer: overpriced CD-style controllers
A&H: Mixer for Bridge, that makes people say "dog's b*ll*cks that's expensive!"
Reloop: Same ReloopDJ controller, again, with new paintjob, with a price that makes people opt for VCI-100

The article says we're getting two pioneer controllers, one for "bridge" and one for Traktor. Anxious to see what they look like, but yeah I'm sure they're overpriced. If the traktor one is anywhere in the range of the S4 though (c. $1000US) it will be worth a look. I just want a 4-channel mixer controller without a soundcard and without jog wheels (or with less obtrusive ones anyway). Something along the lines of the 4MidiLoop but at half the price. Right now though the S4 is the only thing on the market at a reasonable price, if they released something similar without a soundcard I'd be all over it. Depending what happens at BPM I might be all over it anyway

Also this little tidbit in the article about the A+H dog balls: "Our source also confirms that the Allen & Heath xoneB4, described by the company as “the dog’s bollocks”, will be “a 4 channel mixer… price will be more than the RANE:68 and features will be close.”

Price will be *more* than the Rane? Jesus goddam crap, how is that even possible?

I think NI and Vestax are the only reasonable company out there when it comes to midi controllers and their quality to cost ratio. Companies need to understand people are not willing to spend heaps of money for DJ gear anymore. You dont need to with midi!!! ...and people are starting to buy for functionallity rather then just for the brand.
Traktor Scratch Pro, Ableton Live 8, MacBook Pro 13'', Traktor Kontrol S4, Traktor Kontrol X1, , Midifighter, NI Audio 6 DJ, HDJ-2000 Headphones, UDG Producer Bag.

Pretty sure one of the Pioneer products will be their new headphones, that leaves the two controllers. I'm going to BPM so will report back...
