Default shorter usb cables = less latency?

Hey, I was curious if I am purchasing a usb 2.0 cable, does it make much of a difference between 5 ft and 10 ft? I was going to go for 5 ft for convenience but would even shorter be good? couldn't find info with google so i figured maybe someone here would know.

Shorter cables means less clutter, easier to find stuff in the dark. Simple as that!

No lady likes a short cable. Wow them with those over priced gold plated Monster Cables!
